Daily, wherever you are, when you switch on the news there is something bad going on somewhere in the world. It deeply saddens me that we live in a world where innocent people are killed. I was so shocked when I heard about the attack in Pais and my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by the attack both directly and indirectly. This includes innocent islamic people who are implicated by the actions of others, and lumped in a category together with extremists. 

Recently there has been a lot of news about people portraying the 'highlights' of their life around social media. I do think this is a growing problem affecting young people especially but social media doesn't always have to be negative. Today I saw that everyone came together to express their sadness and respect for the event that occurred, whether it by posting the symbol below on Instagram, changing their profile pictures on Facebook to show support or simply Parisians marking themselves safe to assure loved ones that they are okay. 

It is not only Paris that is being affected at the moment; Lebanon, Syria and Iraq are also experiencing the wrath of terrorism and hatred. I can only hope that something like this doesn't repeat itself anytime soon .  

"This is an attack not just on Paris, not just on the people of France, it's an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share."
